Lugol’s Iodine 2%

Lugol’s solution is a strong, water-based mixture of iodine and potassium iodide, historically used as an antiseptic, disinfectant, and in medicine to block radioactive iodine uptake or manage thyroid issues. To be taken with the Thyroid Taming Potion.

Iodine gets kicked out of the body when bromine (found in pineapple naturally,) fluorine, and chlorine are in the body. This is why it is suggested to take multiple times a day, so as to protect the thyroid and other functions of the body.

Usage: Place 3-5 drops in non-chlorinated water, 2x a day. Lemon, Celtic sea salt (a pinch) and honey can be added to create a balanced electrolyte beverage. This is a wonderful pick me up to drink in the afternoon’s when energy is depleted. You can also place directly on wrists to see how quickly your body needs iodine.

• Paint a small circle of tincture of iodine (like 2% or similar) on your inner wrist or thigh.
• Timeframe: Observe how quickly the yellowish-orange stain disappears.
• Results:
  • 1-3 hours: Stain gone quickly, suggests potential deficiency.
  • Over 6 hours: Stain persists, suggests iodine sufficiency.
